During Term 1 an Ilam Explorers Group followed the Plastic Bottle Kayak Adventure in the Abel Tasman. The adventure was focussed on showing innovation and collaboration while putting across a strong environmental message of caring for our environment. The combination of adventure and education was based on the Impossible to Possible (i2P) project, which another group of Ilam children partipated in last year. They followed an extreme adventure race in the Atacama Desert, with messages of team work, goal setting, perseverance and resilience, while giving mini lessons on astronomy. http://impossible2possible.com/atacama2014/daily-summary
