In groups, we worked together to sort images to show the design process for the 2015 Plastic Bottle Kayaks.
We designed some kayaks too:
These are the things we learnt from the Plastic Bottle Kayak adventurers to include in our design process:
- a prow
- netting to hold the bottles together and to stop them floating away
- some of us had double netting so if one lot was damaged there would still be some bottles left to keep us afloat
- vertical bottles along the sides to help with balance in the sea
Some of us added other things which we thought improved the design like:
- a flag
- a rudder
- foot rests
- a lantern for night time paddling
